Heavily teased over the past few weeks, it appears that Nike has finally revealed official images of the Air Jordan 8 Tinker “Air Raid.” Part of the Air Jordan x Nike Icons Collection, which draws creative influence from Tinker Hatfield’s signature designs, the new AJ8 closely mimics the throwback Air Raid silhouette — a popular hoops model tied to Tim Hardaway in the early ‘90s.
Dressed primarily in black from top to bottom, a key graphic first spotted on the Air Raid II brings the basketball trainer to life, as bold splashes of “Light Concord,” “Aloe Verde” and “University Red” spotted on the Jumpman tongue design and mid-foot strip jump out from the otherwise somber color palette. Other notable accents include the unique cross-strap system sitting directly over top the lacing system, in addition to the branded ankle strap. Priced at $190 USD, you can look for this Air Jordan 8 Tinker “Air Raid” on December 22 through Nike’s online shop.
