Audio company Sennheiser, known for its quality products, has unveiled an update to their current 800 S headset with the HD 820 at CES 2018. These $2,400 USD headphones deliver pristine sound and a measure of background isolation by closing off its acoustic chamber with its open-back design.
The HD 820’s exterior retains is signature metal aesthetic and is covered mostly in Gorilla Glass as a function to reduce resonance into specific absorber chambers. Its earpads are a mix of synthetic leather and microfiber for isolation. It also uses a 4.4mm audio plug as opposed to the traditional 3.5mm for minimal distortion. Purchase Sennheiser’s HD 820 headphones early this summer and stay tuned for more CES news as it unfolds.
