Latest 'Pacific Rim: Uprising' Trailer Teases Mech and Kaiju Action
“Someone let them in.”
The newest Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer has debuted, taking place 10 years after the original film and highlighting the re-emergence of the giant monsters known as Kaiju. The trailer features the destruction and subsequent peace established 10 years following the original Pacific Rim and shows that it was only a prelude to the Kaiju assault.
It also shares info on John Boyega‘s Jake Pentecost, a rebellious Jaeger pilot who steps back into the fray to live up to his legendary father’s legacy and defend the planet as he once did. Led by his estranged sister, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi), he joins forces with her elite team of mech pilots to become Earth’s most powerful defense force from total Kaiju extinction. We also learn that “someone let them (Kaiju) in” and see a preview of Jaeger on Jaeger fighting.
