New Balance Returns to Its Roots With Retro 574
Featuring ENCAP technology in the soles.

The New Balance 574 has seen a sustained production run for the past 30 years. Over time, the Massachusetts manufacturer has committed itself to preserving the essence of the original design with minimal change. However, for the new year, the label returns to its roots with the newest remastered iterations — previously available only for “Friends and Family“.
The latest model will feature a build reminiscent of the original racing shape, while its upper is minimally oriented and fabricated — for production ease — in a mix of suede and mesh. Returning to its classic colorways, the sneakers will be made available in navy, burgundy and black. Although stepping back to the past, the label complements the old with the new via the inclusion of its ENCAP technology in the shoe’s soles.
