Apple Music Almost Has Half as Many Paid Subscribers as Spotify
The catch up.

According to a Financial Times source, Apple Music now has over 10 million paid subscribers, nearing half the amount of Spotify. The latter surpassed the 20 million premium subscriber mark in June but has not updated their figure since then. In a conversation with The Verge, Jonathan prince, the company’s head of PR, says that the last half of 2015 was the “fastest subscriber growth in Spotify history.” This means that if Spotify’s number of paid subscribers increased 5 million during the first six months of 2015, then the number is now at least at 25 million. However, Apple Music does not have a free tier like Spotify, which currently has 75 million active users. Check out more details here.
