Lou Dalton Plays With Textures for Her 2016 Fall/Winter Collection
Teddy fleece, cable knit and nylon inspired by the Shetland countryside.

The recent London Collections Men event has yielded no shortage of spectacular presentations for this year’s forthcoming menswear collections. Adding to the roster is Lou Dalton’s 2016 fall/winter offering informed by the rich history of the Shetlands, a region which serves as a second home for the designer. Highlights in the selection include teddy fleece bombers, cable-knit pieces, nylon trousers and waterproof overcoats. As evident in the dynamic selection of materials, the label plays with an array of silhouettes that highlight loose-fitting and laid-back styles. For this set, Lou Dalton has also teamed up with British heritage shoe label Grenson on a series of lace-up hiking boots. The tonal white model is executed in a sleek, minimalistic profile while the black variation showcases a steel detail on the toe. Bringing together a palette of earthy tones, the overall collection is a cohesive set inspired by a combination of the countryside and sea.
