A Recap of Nike's Official NBA Jersey Unveiling in Los Angeles
Nike’s got now, not next.
Over the past weekend, Nike took its talents to Los Angeles to officially reveal its selection of NBA jerseys. During the unveiling, Nike shared its forthcoming Association, Icon and standout Statement jerseys to those invited, causing a sea of opinions and intrigue. During the festivities, representatives from each NBA team were in attendance such as Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, J.R. Smith, Paul George and Karl Anthony-Towns just to name a few. To top off the reveal, Travis Scott blessed those in attendance with a surprise performance as he rocked the Association edition of Chris Paul’s new Houston Rockets jersey.
In addition to Nike’s NBA jersey event, the Swoosh also celebrated the 35-year anniversary of its iconic Air Force 1 silhouette. Nike paid homage to the heritage of the sneaker by housing some of its most memorable iterations in addition to teasing what’s next to come in its special NBA Air Force 1 plus its upcoming SF AF-1 High. This experience also provided an added bonus as participants were able to customize their own pair of Air Force 1s via notable artists from LA.
