Levi's® Is Finally Dropping Its Google-Assisted Smart Trucker Jacket
A classic piece with innovative features.
In May of last year, Google announced a special partnership with Levi’s® as part of its Project Jacquard—a platform dedicated to producing garments using innovative textiles. Now, the duo has finally revealed the release date for its collaborative Trucker Jacket.
From the surface, the outerwear piece looks like your ordinary denim essential, but it’s much more than that. The jacket is meticulously constructed out of smart microfibers that allow wearers to connect their smartphone, make calls, listen to music as well as send text messages using a series of gestural commands. More precisely, the jacket boasts “retro-reflective accents, stretch fabric paneling at the shoulders, back ventilation, a dropped hem for extra coverage, and storm cuffs for wind and weather protection,” said Levi’s in a statement.
The Google x Levi’s® Commuter Trucker Jacket will be available for purchase at select retailers starting September 27. An official online launch will commence on October 2 at Levi’s official website. Find the full list of stockists below.
