Nike Gives the PG1 a Red Hot Makeover
Red-y for the court.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George has seen a plethora of colorways for his signature shoe, the Nike PG1, as of late. From different floral prints to a blue and orange set based on his new team, the rising star has the kicks to match. Now, Nike is giving the sneaker a “University Red” colorway. Featuring a suede and mesh upper dipped in a rich red, the sneaker sees hits of black occupying the strap across the middle, as well as the Swoosh logo and the outsole. This is contrasted by the use of white for the sneaker’s midsole and branding on the tongue and inside of the sneaker along the foot bed.
Set to release on August 19, the Nike PG1 in “University Red” will be available online and through select Nike retailers for $110 USD. In other Nike news, check out the University Red color used for the latest edition of the KD 10.
