Kevin Hart Leads the Way With the Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge
Calling on the likes of JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Jerry Seinfeld, Dwayne Johnson, and more.
After pledging to donate $50,000 USD to the American Red Cross Harvey Relief, comedian Kevin Hart is encouraging the rest of his A-list friends to join him in a celebrity challenge to help out. Hart posted a video on Instagram highlighting the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas and how people like himself and his friends can help to donate money to the victims. The comedian ends the video by nominating JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Jerry Seinfeld, Dwayne Johnson, and Justin Timberlake and more to donate $25,000 USD to Red Cross.
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner thanked Hart during a Monday morning news conference for raising awareness. You can help the victims of Hurricane Harvey by donating through the Red Cross website, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or by making a $10 USD donation by texting “HARVEY” to 90999. The Red Cross is also calling for blood donations, being accepted throughout the country on its website.
