A Backstage View at Raf Simons' 'Blade Runner'-Inspired 2018 Spring/Summer Runway Show
An array of intricate details.
Raf Simons’ 2018 spring/summer menswear show was an experience to behold. The fashion savant had plunged attendees into a dystopian-like world inspired by the Blade Runner film while also paying homage to New York City’s Chinatown district. Star items include umbrellas with glowing handles, lanterns featuring iconic New Order and Joy Division artwork by Peter Saville as well as a series of collaborative tote bags with Eastpak. As a whole, the assemblage was predominantly filled with rain gear swathed in metallic colorways.
