Hennessy Taps Artist JonOne For Its Latest Very Special Limited Edition Bottle

For the seventh installment in its annual limited edition artist designed bottle, Hennessy and JonOne have teamed up for a bottle of Very Special blend that fuses the distinctive graffiti and art style of JonOne with the taste of its cognac. Following in the footsteps of iconic artists KAWS, Futura, OSGEMEOS, Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGuinness and Scott Campbell, JonOne’s vibrant, energetic and playful style can be seen throughout this new collaboration. Always on the move between Paris and Harlem, JonOne also known as Jon156, travelled to Cognac in 2016 to start the design process.
It was easy for the artist to infuse and layer his own freestyle splashes of color with Hennessy’s branding and imagery because both parties felt this echoed the layers of flavors and aromas born during the cognac blending process. “I can relate to that emotion [of love]: they create beauty with their own hands; they know the joy of creation. For them and for me, it’s not just a job, it’s part of your life,” the artist iterated. Hennessy hosted a party in New York City at Terminal 5 last night for the launch of the bottle which was headlined by a performance from A$AP Ferg and had a live demonstration from JonOne himself.
