Feng Chen Wang Dismisses the Negative Connotations Around "Made in China" for 2018 Spring/Summer
This young designer has a future.
Feng Chen Wang hits our digital pages for the first time to premiere its 2018 spring/summer collection, first seen at New York Fashion Week. Already with celebrity endorsements from some of the most stylish people in the world, including Rihanna and Russell Westbrook, Wang is just two years removed from the Royal College of Art in London. Her latest menswear collection (above), according to WWD, attempts to “take the negative connotation out of the Made in China label [...] by focusing on craftsmanship rather than mass production.” The Chinese designer’s signature technical streetwear is front and center, in vibrant hues of red and pink, but it’s the “MADE IN CHINA” bylines, both on the shirts and Air Jordans worn by models, that respectfully have our attention.
