The Elegant 'Kingsman' x TAG Heuer Smartwatch Is a Fit for the Most Discerning Timepiece Aficionados
A special timepiece for the Kingsman agents.
To equip the special agents with watches in the upcoming film, Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle, director Matthew Vaughn knew they needed to be both refined and resistant. After all, the timepieces play a significant role in the agent’s missions throughout the movie.
“We needed a connected watch for our agents,” Vaughn said in a statement. “We looked at the different options available, but none of them were elegant enough for a Kingsman. Then I saw an interview on Bloomberg TV with Jean-Claude Biver about his connected watch, and it became immediately obvious; the Kingsman agents would wear the TAG Heuer Connected.”
In addition to creating a bespoke [costume] collection with Mr. Porter, Vaughn was able to land a partnership with TAG Heuer to outfit the characters in the forthcoming Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle. The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 comes with a ceramic water resistant case, Swiss-made Bluetooth and WiFi compatibility with an Android Wear 2.0 operating system powered by an Intel processor. Drawing inspiration from the tangerine velvet smoking jacket worn in the film by an agent, the luxurious timepiece also includes two interchangeable straps in brown leather and orange Alcantara.
The TAG Heuer Connected Modular Smartwatch comes in a special edition Kingsman branded box and retails for $3,650 USD via Mr. Porter’s online shop. Next month, it will be available in TAG Heuer stores globally. Check it out above.
