Prada Taps Ancient Power for Its Talisman Jewelry Collection
Past and present collide in totemic splendour.

Having recently unveiled its Spring/Summer 2018 collection at Milan Fashion Week Men’s, Prada has stepped up its game to reveal its Talisman jewelry — part of the Summer 2017 range. Crafted from wood, shell, silver and semi-precious stones, the collection is uniquely tactile in its composition — designed to be touched rather than appreciated from afar — and takes its inspiration from talismans once thought to hold powerful properties of protection.
With a nod to both the Italian fashion house’s own lineage in its artisan quality, and referencing natural totems in the shaping of the pieces themselves, wild animal designs in sculpted silver are paired with contrasting materials in a collision of contemporary and ancient forms to create a collection with a sense of modern mysticism.
Available now at selected Prada boutiques globally, you can find more information on stockists for the unisex collection at Prada’s website. For something altogether more contemporary, take a look at the Italian house’s recent comic book-inspired collaboration with James Jean.
