Watch Shia LaBeouf as John McEnroe in the New 'Borg/McEnroe' Trailer
The film tells the story of tennis’ greatest rivalry.
The teaser for Borg/McEnroe has just surfaced and it finally shows Shia LaBeouf as the foul-mouthed John McEnroe. News broke out last year about the film going into production but now we get the first look via trailer. The movie tells the story of one of tennis’s greatest rivalries. John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg had some epic matches against each other in the ’70s and ’80s. Borg would eventually take a hiatus from the sport and try to make a comeback, while McEnroe stayed consistently dominating the sport. What’s more fascinating is the actual relationship between them — there’s a mix of rivalry and friendship. It will also be interesting to see LaBeouf take on the McEnroe role since the tennis great is widely-known for his temper. Bjorn Borg is played by Swedish actor, Sverrir Gudnason.
