This past February, Netflix launched a teaser for Snowpiercer director Bong Jong-ho’s latest film, Okja. This time around, the streaming giant has unveiled the official trailer which gives viewers a full look at the mysterious creature. It turns out that the peculiar beast is actually a “super pig” that was specifically created for human consumption. The movie’s antagonist, played by Tilda Swinton, explains that the animal “will be a revolution in the livestock industry” because they eat less feed, leave a minimal footprint, and produce less excretion. Of course, Swinton emphasized that “they need to taste fucking good.”
All in all, the movie centers on a young girl named Mija (played by actress Ahn Seo-hyun) who becomes best friends with Okja. When the creature gets taken away, Mija connects with animal rights activists to save the gentle monster.
Watch the trailer above and look out for Okja to premiere on Netflix on June 28.
