The next collaboration for Supreme is with Maurits Cornelis Escher, also known as M.C. Escher. Born in the city of Leeuwarden, Netherlands, Escher’s work found an audience of admirers with his eccentric artwork that tapped mathematical elements of hyperbolic geometry, tessellations, symmetry, impossible object optical illusions and more. While his art was never picked up by the masses in the popular culture realms, his designs were adored by mathematicians and scientists and is highly recognized to this day.

The collaborative collection includes M.C. Escher’s designs in a wide range of apparel including a lightweight trench coat, baseball jersey, hoodie, long- and short-sleeved tees, shorts, and a cap. The collection releases on May 4 in Supreme NY, LA, London, Paris and online, while Japanese Supreme stores will receive the collection May 6.
