Wood Wood Takes on the Dad Shoe With the ASICS GEL-DS Trainer
For the Copenhagen label’s 15th anniversary.
In honor of its 15th anniversary, Wood Wood has collaborated with ASICS Tiger to recreate the GEL-DS Trainer OG in a new metallic colorway. First debuted during Milan Fashion Week at Wood Wood’s 2017 fall/winter show, the ’90s-era runner features a silver synthetic leather upper outlined in black and accented with red and blue anodized eyelets, lace tips, and on the forefoot portion of the outsole. This sits above a GEL technology midsole and a DuoSole outsole. A neoprene bootie provides enhanced fit, rounded out by collaborative branding on the tongue and insole.
The Wood Wood x ASICS GEL-DS Trainer OG will launch exclusively on May 6 at the ASICS Tiger outlet in Osaka, as well as at Wood Wood’s online and physical storefronts in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Frederiksberg and Berlin.
