On Monday night, LaVar Ball sat down with FS1′s Undisputed where he went on to state why his son’s, Lonzo Ball, signature ZO2 sneaker with Big Baller Brand costs a whopping $495 USD. The shoe, which was debuted last Thursday, has been widely mocked on the Internet ever since, including a call out from NBA Hall-of-Famer Shaquille O’Neal. In the interview, LaVar went on to state his reasons for the ZO2’s price tag, “It’s not just a shoe you just go into a store or something like that and you say, ‘You know what, let me get the Kyries, the LeBrons, and by the way, throw in the Z02s. Nah, Z02s mean something, that’s why the price tag is like that.” He added that the price is there because his son is the first player to have his own brand before ever playing a game in the NBA.
