Kendrick Lamar's 'DAMN.' Is Officially Platinum
Another major victory for the TDE superstar.
Less than a month after its debut, Kendrick Lamar‘s fourth studio album DAMN. has achieved platinum certification. Interscope Records revealed Kendrick Lamar’s latest honor earlier today, tweeting: “@kendricklamar DAMN. is now PLATINUM #TDE.” Within three weeks, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. has already become one of the Compton rapper’s greatest commercial and critical successes. Every single song on DAMN. has charted on the Billboard Hot 100, the LP has produced Kendrick Lamar’s first no. 1 single as a lead artist, and DAMN. currently holds the honor of strongest debut of 2017. K-Dot’s latest album initially sold 603,000 units in its first week of sales, and just took the no. 1 spot on the Billboard charts for the third week in a row.
