The Y-3 x SpaceX Concept Was Created for Aspiring Space Tourists
Making sure you look fresh in the outer galaxies.

Just last week, Elon Musk announced that his aerospace company SpaceX is sending two tourists on a trip around the moon in 2018. Thanks to his Y-3 x SpaceX sneaker concept, designer Clement Fernandes plans to keep us looking stylish as we venture off to space, specifically the Red Planet, Mars.
The Y-3 x SpaceX has been imagined with an upper made of nylon combined with carbon nanotubes. As the body heats up, the nanotubes are activated to adjust to the shape of your foot. The outersole sees a multi-density EVA structure — softer for the cleats in order to provide more cushioning — while rubber elements on the back help with proofing the sneaker from sandstorms and temperatures of 52 degrees. This could be a definite glimpse into the future of footwear. Make sure to grab a pair before you set off to space.
