Russell Westbrook Goes Against the Status Quo in Latest Mountain Dew Ad
Just ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook is playing up his jokester self in Mountain Dew’s latest ad — and he’s certainly not going to do what other people tell him to do. The 30-second spot features Westbrook doing things that others say you probably shouldn’t be doing, like listening to his favorite slow jams to get pumped up for a big game or distracting teammates during important press conferences. The new commercial is released just ahead of the NBA All-Star 2017 game in New Orleans, where Mountain Dew plans to have a big presence at the event. Mountain Dew will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball game, with Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving serving as general managers for each team. The game will air on TNT on February 18.
