X-LARGE & Converse Japan Come Together for a Bold Chevron Star Pack

There’s no such thing as too many stars.

Japan’s Converse imprint is once again pairing with X-LARGE to take on the latter’s preferred sneaker silhouette. First tackled in the pair’s Fall/Winter 2013 lookbook, then again a few years later, the Chevron Star once again receives a graphical makeover.

This iteration of the low-top sneaker is available in two colorways, and retains its usual sleek silhouette, All-Star tongue branding and unfettered midsole. Immediately apparent is what’s different — this version of the sneaker features an all-over star graphic on the upper. The imagery, like the midsole, branding and laces, is off-white, which, combined with the red and navy colorways, adds an air of American style to the Japanese-only release.

Both sneakers retail for ¥7,000 JPY (approximately $60 USD) on Converse Japan’s website. For more new sneakers, take a look at this week’s best sneaker drops.
