Academy Award recipient Mahershala Ali is the new featured guest for the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping. Ali received the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his work on the Barry Jenkins film Moonlight which also won the Academy Award for best film of that year. Now, he gets the chance to cop some kicks and talk about a few personal life tidbits on the popular sneaker shopping program.

In the interview, Mr. Ali expands on how he first got into kicks because of Jordans and how he was once a prolific basketball player — he was able to go to college on a basketball scholarship. Moving on, he also shows his love for other sneaker models such Air Huaraches, Andre Agassi’s Nike Air Tech Challenge, and Vans Slip-On. To add, Ali’s impressive repertoire also included him being a die-hard BMX rider back in the day. Check out the video above to learn more about Ali and to see the kicks he ends up copping.
