Japanese select shop LOVELESS is set to host the third release from STuREET, which sees the artist unveiling a new array of hand-decorated sneakers. Rhinestones, polka dots and rust motifs all decorate iconic sneaker silhouettes.
The sneaker artist first released custom Vans in 2008, and is reissuing the style for its 10th anniversary. The classic checkerboard Vans Old-Skool receives a dripping, rhinestone-studded Jazz Stripe, while a Nike Air cap and pair of Air Max 90s boast equally shiny Swooshes; silver polka dots further distinguish the runners. The jewel of the release is a pair of hand-detailed Air Jordan 1s. The shoes are painted to approximate rust, with strikingly lifelike results.
Retailing for ¥15,000 YEN to ¥60,000 YEN (approximately $130 USD to $530 USD), the limited collection is set to drop in LOVELESS stores, with the cap hitting the online store on December 9. In other limited Air Jordan news, one lucky sneakerhead accidentally received a pair of “Bred Toe” 1s in the mail and is offering them on eBay for $10,000 USD.
