The wait for the second season of Netflix’s Jessica Jones is nearly over. Marvel’s investigator-turned-superhero is making her long-awaited return to the small screen on March 8, 2018. This will come as sweet news to fans of the show who have been waiting patiently since November 2015, when the female member of The Defenders made her television debut.
Netflix delivered a brief trailer alongside the release date reveal. The minute-long preview seems to show Jessica delving further back into her muddled past — armed with her usual no-nonsense attitude and stinging one-liners. The show’s surprisingly successful first installment, that tackled topics such as substance abuse and sexual violence with thoughtful comprehension, has meant that the return of the unconventional superhero has been eagerly awaited. The upcoming season will also help further develop Netflix’s growing Marvel universe that includes the likes of Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Iron Fist. Be sure to watch the trailer above.
