Newest Trailer for Marvel's 'The Defenders' Focuses on the Main Villain
There’s still a lot to be learned from Sigourney Weaver’s character.
Netflix just released the newest and last trailer for its upcoming Marvel series The Defenders. Much of the focus has been on the heroes — Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil — but the scene now shifts to the main villain, Alexandra. Not much is known about the character Sigourney Weaver plays but it looks like she’s very diabolical in the threats she serves in this clip.
Like most antagonists, one of the only ways they try to defeat a hero is by inflicting pain on the ones they love. So Alexandra here has a goal in mind — break down each protagonist by making sure their friends, family, and lovers are hurt or better yet, killed.
Things will surely get interesting when The Defenders debuts on Netflix. Make sure to tune into the entertainment platform on August 18 to watch the episodes.
