HBO Teases Its Upcoming David Bowie Documentary

HBO has released a trailer for its upcoming documentary about David Bowie‘s rich legacy, remarkable career and the final years of his life. Entitled David Bowie: The Last Five Years, the clip above teases an array of archival footage, photographs and interview clips.
The documentary will focus specifically on Bowie’s final two albums, as well as his stage musical Lazarus. In the new short trailer, the musician’s friends and close collaborators spoke about how invigorated he felt to create new music in spite of being diagnosed with cancer. Directed by Francis Whately, the film premieres January 8, 2018 on what would’ve been Bowie’s 71st birthday, followed by BBC‘s debut on January 10.
