'Detroit' Returns to Theaters With New Thought-Provoking Trailer
A worthy Oscar contender.
Directed by Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow, Detroit tells the emotional story behind the Algiers Motel incident where three young African-American men were killed. For Oscar consideration, Annapurna Pictures has released a new trailer for its limited theatrical re-release on December 1.
The trailer focuses primarily on visceral moments of the film, purring viewers in the shoes of these young men who were terrorized by racist cops. Despite the film’s struggle in the box office this summer, the movie features admirable work from the folks behind it and is a worthy contender if put up against the top films of the year.
