Bodega Designs Limited Pendleton x NIKEiD ACG Air Mowabb Trainers
“Sunset” and “Arctic” renditions.
Jay Gordon of Boston-based Bodega has designed two iterations of the new Nike iD ACG x Pendleton Mowabb cross-trainer. The new variants come in distinct “Sunset” and “Arctic” colorways. Each shoe boasts a special speckled heel strap and tonal black outsoles. Furthermore, the sneakers are numbered 1-100 on the medial side in the signature ACG badge motif.
“I started collecting sneakers in high school and would take the bus to New York to get shoes that I couldn’t get in Boston. That’s where I first saw ACG. I loved it instantly. ACG colorways and the whole vibe of it was my style,” Gordon expressed to Nike. “The first time I saw someone wearing the Mowabb I thought ‘those are awesome.’ It was one of the first ACG shoes that I got. I was with a friend at a store on 17th street. He was like, ‘Why are you getting that? It’s crazy?’”
The “Sunset” will be available for purchase at ComplexCon 2017 while the Arctic hits Bodega’s Boston flagship on November 5. A slew of customizable options for the Nike iD ACG x Pendleton will launch on Nike’s official website starting November 9 until November 14.
