Rare Photos by Late Actor Anton Yelchin Will Be Featured in Upcoming NYC Exhibit
Never-before-seen portraits, self-portraits, as well as interior images.
De Buck Gallery in New York City will present a new exhibition dedicated to the photographic work of the late actor, Anton Yelchin. Entitled “Anton Yelchin: Provocative Beauty,” the upcoming presentation will spotlight a total of 54 photos culled from Yelchin’s extensive portfolio spanning six years. “At the time of his tragic passing at the age of 27, unbeknownst to most of his friends, Anton was pursuing a second career as a photographer. During this period, he documented a wide range of subjects using a Leica camera as well as disposable cameras,” said the gallery in a statement.
The commemorative showcase will be comprised of never-before-seen portraits, self-portraits, as well as interior images that were taken by Anton. “These photos include many intimate portraits of friends, family and also complete strangers. All of these people trusted Anton to convey his intimate interactions with them,” the gallery expressed.
Proceeds from the artworks sold will be donated to the Anton Yelchin Foundation that aims to create diverse programs for artists that have disabilities. “Anton Yelchin: Provocative Beauty” will be open to the public starting December 13 up until January 20, 2018.
