Virgil Abloh Shows off a Custom "Louis Vuitton" Strap
He may have teased a possible NikeLab collaboration as well.
Virgil Abloh has worked with a variety of luminaries including KITH, Champion and Snapchat, and released one of the year’s most desirable sneaker collaborations with NikeLab. The year may have more collaborative releases in store from Abloh, as the designer was spotted on Thursday’s Vogue Forces in Fashion event with some interesting accessories.
Abloh sported a bag from Louis Vuitton‘s recent collaboration with Jeff Koons, which boasted a black luggage strap with Off-White™ and Louis Vuitton co-branding in Abloh’s infamous quotes. This is after Off-White™’s recent luggage collaboration was revealed with RIMOWA, which Alexandre Arnault — son of LVMH‘s Bernard Arnault — is co-CEO.
Interestingly, Abloh was also wearing a black pair of Nike Air Force 1s with the plastic orange Off-White™ tag. Off-White™’s NikeLab drop did include an Air Force 1, however in white. Although no further collaborations have been confirmed, the photo hints at the possibilities of some big projects in store for the future.
