The 3.1 Phillip Lim x UGG Collection Channels the Designer's California Roots

The anticipated 3.1 Phillip Lim x UGG collection has now been fully revealed. Earlier teased in January, designer Phillip Lim had this say about why he chose UGG as his eponymous brand’s newest collaborator, “I love the simple nature of UGG — uncomplicated, an indulgence for your feet.” Only a few shots of the range was revealed then but now we get a complete look at the lineup.
The entire collection is based on California’s cool and relaxed vibe. “I wanted to collaborate with UGG because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire a laid-back sense of cool,” said Phillip Lim. “The approach stemmed from my California roots and memories of wearing UGG—a pure expression of unexpected fun and casual elegance.”
The range consists of six styles with all reflecting some kind of aspect of the personas you’ll see in California — the musician, artist, skater, surfer, etc. Some of the standouts include the orange-trimmed Classic Short Duck Boot, the Monogrammed Classic Short Zip, and the Classic Short Zip in Suede. In addition, style personality Luka Sabbat and Joseph Matick, singer of the band Girlyboi, are brand ambassadors.
