Ronda Rousey Receives Kind Words of Support from Kobe Bryant, Jon Jones and More
“[She] will be a champion for the rest of her life, even if she never wins another fight.”

Following her recent upset, Ronda Rousey received a plethora of unwavering support through social media from fans, including a few notable star athletes. The fighter, who saw defeat from Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in just 48 seconds, was met with a few words of encouragement from NBA elites Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, and even from fellow UFC champion Jon Jones with admiration and positivity. Whether her UFC career is speculatively nearing an end or not, it’s refreshing to see the “pioneer of women competing at the highest level of MMA” is and will be honored for her past achievements in athleticism.

Instead of clapping for @RondaRousey defeat give her a standing O for putting the sport on the map #pioneer #muse

“In sports, in general, they build you up as high as they can, put you on the highest mountain in the world, just to tear you down. That’s coming from somebody who has experienced it. And that’s exactly what she’s going through right now. That’s a fact. I know exactly how she feels because I was that athlete. I went through that.” – Lebron James
My advice to Ronda would be to pick yourself up and try again.
