Bang & Olufsen's New BeoSound Speakers Project 360-Degree Sound
Bang & Olufsen’s latest speakers get a sleek, conical makeover and some rangy output.

Ahead of this year’s IFA in Berlin, Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the latest additions to its BeoSound lineup and they’re some of the Danish electronics imprint’s most tech-saavy speakers to date. Dubbed the BeoSound 1 and 2, the unique speakers sport a sleek, conical look for a high-end aesthetic to help them stand out from the usual fare. Their looks aren’t their most noteworthy feature, though. Thanks to their shape (bass is projected out from under the umbrella-like cap while the top is open for acoustics), each is capable of projecting 360-degree sound and comes with Bluetooth connectivity and DNLA, Google Cast and AirPlay support. They can even be incorporated into a BeoLink setup with other Bang & Olufsen speakers for a Sonos-like rig throughout your home while proximity sensors allow the speakers to display controls in any direction.
Retailing for $1,495 and $1,895 USD, respectively, the BeoSound 1 and 2 will soon be available at select Bang & Olufsen stockists while full specs and additional info can be perused over at the company’s website.
