11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi Taps Biker Gang Culture for 2017 Spring/Summer Lookbook
The Persian-German designer presents his eighth collection dubbed “Disruptive Disciples.”
Culling inspiration from military and street gang references from across the globe, 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi recently unveiled its eighth collection dubbed, “Disruptive Disciples.” The Persian-German designer’s 2017 spring/summer capsule is comprised of abstract geometric patterns, panel-printed artwork and contrasting hues. With this lookbook, Bidjan Saberi attempts to relay the strong familial bond inherent in biker gang culture from the Japanese Bosozoku speed tribes to the ’70s gangs in Chicago while also showcasing an array of patches, prints and symbols from the aforesaid subculture. The most notable symbol is a master cross emblem which assumedly represents unity and strength.
