Kirby Is Getting His Own Cafés in Japan
Move over, Pikachu.

Pokémon GO may be all the rage right now, but another Nintendo favorite is about to take his turn in the spotlight: Kirby is getting his very own cafés — in Japan, naturally. Simply dubbed the Kirby Café, the whimsical endeavor will play host to a bevy of dishes inspired by Masahiro Sakurai’s puffy pink creation, offering up everything from fluffy pancakes and colorful beverages to cupcakes and sundaes — all with nods to the likes of Kirby, King Dedede and the series’s ubiquitous stars. Of course, the cafés will also act as your one stop shop for all kinds of limited-edition Kirby memorabilia, from mugs, drink stirrers, and cushions to smartphone cases, totes and pins.
Head on over to the Kirby Café website for more info — including a look at the menu and items — and look for the Osaka location to open its doors August 5 while the Nagoya spot (which is a shop only, not a café) will follow August 24. A Tokyo location is also in the works with more info on its opening and exact address supposedly on the way.
