NikeLab Debuts the Hyperdunk 2016
“The signature shoe of Nike Basketball.”
Walking the fine line between performance and casual, Nike’s latest Hyperdunk installment looks to take it back to the days where wearing footwear on or off the court didn’t result in changing out of your favorite pair. As the Nike Hyperdunk has grown in innovation over the years, this year’s edition design reflects the various features seen in Nike’s upcoming basketball uniforms. Described by Nike designer, Leo Chang, as the “Nike Basketball signature shoe,” its upper hosts Nike’s popular Flyknit technology all the way up to its sock extension in multiple shades of grey. Its thick white midsole is complemented by a supportive heel cup and is finished off with a translucent outsole and a Zoom Air unit, which extends the full length of the foot.
Unveiled back in March during Nike’s innovation summit, the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 is currently available at all NikeLab locations worldwide.
