Popular Japanese fashion brand UNDERCOVER has unveiled its latest collection for the 2017 spring/summer season. The collection showcases both front and back looks, with a decidedly earthy aesthetic. According to Takahashi, the collection was about improvisation. “The men’s is daily wear, rather than conceptual like the women. They’re clothes I want to wear.”
Shot against a salmon-colored panel, a painting, and wood planks, the models look somber and thoughtful with many donning blanket scarves around their heads. The “improvisation” part of the collection was the manner in which Takahashi applied random things — from patches to graphics — to the pieces. The color palette itself was very natural, and ranged from olive green to camel making for an extremely wearable collection.
