Add a Wah Effect While You Shred Guitar in Converse's Hacked Sneakers
Time to bless’em with more face melters.

About three years ago, Converse introduced a challenge to let people “hack” the iconic All-Star sneakers. One of the clear standouts were a pair of Chuck Taylors rigged by design agency Critical Mass that can be used to add a wah effect when plugged into a guitar. Now, thanks to interactive fashion retailer Cute Curcuit, the sneakers are now updated with advanced micro-sensor technology. While they function the same way as a regular Wah pedal, the kicks also communicate wirelessly by Bluetooth to a “Wah” box. The plugged-in sneaker can be utilized in a classic stage set-up via Amp, iPhone or iMac. There’s no info yet on full specifications or a mass market release, so we’ll keep an eye out for any developments.
