Netflix's Deal With Disney Will Bring You Exclusive Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar Titles to Stream
Netflix is getting some Disney magic.

Originally negotiated back in 2012, Netflix’s deal with Disney will finally take effect this fall. According a post from Netflix’s Ted Sarandos, “from September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar.” The deal will first cover all films released under the Disney/Pixar/Marvel/Lucasfilm umbrella in 2016, so titles such as Captain America: Civil War will likely land in Netflix beginning September.
From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar. And we’re excited to be bringing you new and exclusive Netflix Original movies including Mascots from the master of low-key comedy Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind) and War Machine, from acclaimed Australian director David Michod and starring Brad Pitt, in the serio-comic tale of the U.S. military adventure in Afghanistan.
Streaming services have long tried to differentiate itself from competitors by offering exclusives (much like Apple Music or TIDAL), and this Disney deal does exactly that for Netflix. Will you be Netflix and chillin’ to these Disney titles?
