'Deadpool 2' Is Confirmed With Both Ryan Reynolds & Director Tim Miller Returning
Fox announces the ‘Deadpool’ followup is already in the works.

Superhero news keeps on flowing from CinemaCon. Following announcements about Spider-Man: Homecoming and a Ben Affleck-helmed Batman flick is some Deadpool info from Fox. After reportedly getting a green light back in February, Fox co-chairman Stacey Snider has announced that Deadpool 2 is officially in the works. Snider also confirmed that the team behind the original will be back to helm the sequel, with Ryan Reynolds returning as the Merc with a Mouth while Tim Miller — who made his directorial debut with the original — will once again take the director’s chair. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the Deadpool script, are also on board and it isn’t hard to see why Fox is bringing the whole crew back: Deadpool has smashed box office records for an R-rated flick on its way to grossing more than $750 million USD worldwide.
Story details and a release date remain under wraps, so stay tuned.
