'Deadpool' Sequel Gets Greenlight From Fox
Deadpool will be back for more R-rated hilarity.
Deadpool hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but that hasn’t stopped Fox from giving a sequel the green light. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox is betting that audiences will want more of Ryan Reynolds and company’s R-rated shenanigans. Though details are largely unknown at this point, Reynolds will reportedly be back in the superhero role while Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are already hard at work on a followup script. Fox is also hoping to bring back director Tim Miller, though he has yet to sign on to helm the sequel.
Deadpool opens this Friday, February 12.
