OMEGA Unveils a "Meteorite" Edition of the Speedmaster
A brand new take on the “Grey Side of the Moon.”

OMEGA Speedmaster has seen “Dark,” “White” and “Grey Side of the Moon” releases over the past few years — the first of which even spawned a full-on collection last year. Now OMEGA is revisiting 2014’s “Grey” make-up, introducing a brand new “Meteorite” take on the chronograph for 2016. Hot on the heels of its limited edition nod to the original CK2998, the “Meteorite” sports a brand new hue for its brushed and polished 44.25mm case and ditches the sand-blasted, moon surface-like platinum dial of the original in favor of a rugged meteor-inspired motif. As an added bonus, OMEGA’s proprietary Sedna gold alloy highlights the bezel, as well as the Super-LumiNova-coated indexes and hands. Even the tachymeter scale gets an overhaul, in this case employing OMEGA’s Ceragold.
The “Meteorite” edition of the Speedmaster will soon be available for CHF 13,000 (approximately $14,437 USD).
