The Air Jordan 1 Arrives in Another "Bred"-Like Make-Up
A little Lance Mountain inspiration for the mid-top?
Back in 2014, Jordan Brand linked up with Nike SB and Lance Mountain to drop a special skate-ready take on the Air Jordan 1 as a nod to Mountain’s mismatched kicks in the Bones Brigade’s seminal In Search of Animal Chin. Now Jordan Brand is back with its own take on the kicks that recalls that Lance Mountain look. An alternative to the Black/White-Gym Red colorway that premiered last fall, this mid-top is reminiscent of the right shoe from Mountain’s white pair, opting for a predominately white look with red underlays and additional hits throughout. In this case, however, a black tongue has been swapped out in favor of white — thus allowing wearers to swap out the black laces for a more simplistic two-tone look.
