Androgyny and Americana.
It seems that Hedi Slimane is soldiering on, seemingly unbothered by the rumors of his possible departure from French fashion brand Saint Laurent: the designer’s latest collection for the hallowed house continues Slimane’s obsession with androgyny and Americana.
There are intricately hand-embroidered jackets that take inspiration from military regalia, Native American woven patterns and psychedelic motifs. Cigarette pants are a mainstay, while the outerwear piece du jour is Slimane’s signature leather guitar jacket. Fedoras are a constant accessory throughout the imagery, as are long, flowing locks of hair. It’s a collection suited for a stylish hippie commune—check the imagery out above.
