Former Helmut Lang Designers Nicole and Michael Colovos Launch Namesake Brand
The married couple strikes it out on their own.

Michael and Nicole Colovos helmed creative direction at Helmut Lang since the Austrian designer’s departure from his label in 2005, but now the married couple are striking out on their own and launching a collection under their own name. The new venture is described as “minimal, effortless dressing,” and includes knits, leather, denim, and outerwear made in Italy and New York. The 30 pieces that make up the collection are priced between $375 and $2600 USD.
The Colovoses are currently working with retailers to hash out sales and stockists, according to WWD, and more info should emerge as the designers hash out details with press and retailers. In the meantime, make sure to revisit some of Lang’s archived pieces on display in Tokyo.
