Hideo Kojima's Mysterious New 'Death Stranding' Trailer Stars Guillermo del Toro & Mads Mikkelsen
The ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ director and Danish actor join Kojima’s first post-Konami project.
With Konami drama firmly in the rearview, Metal Gear visionary Hideo Kojima had the opportunity to take the stage at The Game Awards last night after Konami banned him from last year’s ceremony in the wake of their ongoing conflict. Vindicated, the renowned game designer blessed fans with a little something before leaving the stage: a brand new trailer for his mysterious post-Konami project, Death Stranding.
Somehow just as weird as the trailer that premiered back in June at E3, the latest look at the Kojima Productions project sheds light on the game’s potential antagonists as none other than Guillermo del Toro and Mads Mikkelsen star in the five-minute piece. A longtime friend of Kojima’s, del Toro joins fellow Silent Hills alumnus Norman Reedus as they look to build on their cancelled survival horror game.
