The mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid series, Hideo Kojima will reportedly leave Konami following the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in September. Speculation regarding Kojima’s resignation began when a re-launched MGSV site removed all credits of Kojima and the senior staff at his studio, Kojima Productions. Another indication of Kojima’s eventual leave points to the transition of his personal Kojima Productions’ Twitter account to a general Metal Gear account. Reports have surfaced disclosing a power struggle between Kojima and Konami, which explains the mysterious friction between the two sides. If reports of Kojima’s eventual leave turn out to be true, Konami is losing a true master of his craft.
